Save the Date! The Walk a Mile art exhibit is returning!

May 10 – 21, Mark Arts will host this one-of-a-kind showcase. It shares the emotional and heartbreaking stories told by children in Kansas foster care. The exhibit will be coming to Kansas City, Dodge City, and Salina – be on the lookout for an announcement with dates and locations.

Throughout eight weeks, local artist Micala Gingrich-Gaylord worked with foster children receiving care at EmberHope Youthville. The children designed the shoe-themed pieces as a means of expression, therapy, and healing. The artwork represents each artist’s personal experience in the child welfare system. Most children in care have faced unimaginable levels of trauma.

You are invited to “walk a mile in their shoes” and share their stories.

See you there!
