Our Newton residential programs are rooted in faith. We are committed to caring for children and teens in innovative ways that encourage their mental, physical, and creative growth through trauma-informed interventions focused on resilience and recovery.
Our programs offer a homelike setting that serves both girls and young women. Our Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) serves girls ages 10-17, and our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) serves girls ages 12-18.
The programs inspire positive change through therapeutic services and help with life skills, coping skills, social skills, problem-solving, and the ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships. Our mission is to use trauma-informed services to help these children safely return to their families and communities.
Our treatment team is trained in utilizing a systemic approach to complex developmental trauma using Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®). This provides the basis for a safe, secure and educational environment for children and teens to heal.
You’ll have our support every step of the way before, during, and after residential treatment. Our Case Managers work in conjunction with program therapists and community-based providers to ensure there are no gaps in services.

The Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) is a short-term, clinically-driven program overseen by a PRTF Physician (Psychiatrist)
The program is designed for female clients between the ages of 12 and 18, living within a 120-mile range of the campus. These young women are in the custody of their parents or legal guardians and are not having their needs met by existing resources. PRTF works actively with the family, other agencies, and the community to offer strengths-based, culturally-competent, and medically-appropriate treatment designed to meet the client’s individual needs.
We address both mental health and substance abuse issues in this program.
Critical elements include intensive, on-site family participation, and a six-month aftercare component after the client returns home.
The QRTP program is a therapeutic environment that serves girls ages 10-17 who are in the child welfare/foster care system.
The goal of this program is to improve decision-making, coping and social skills and address any underlying issues that could impact them.
We address both mental health and substance abuse issues in this program.
“ You are the reason I have a home. If it wasn’t for this program I would be all over the place. I’ve even connected with my family.”
