Christmas gifts at the Hope and Cheer Christmas event for foster children in Kansas

Last week, we joined forces with Foster ICT and Radiant Church to host an incredible holiday event for foster youth and families in Kansas.

This year’s “Hope and a Future” was a heartwarming event that brought holiday cheer to 1,407 children from 543 families in Kansas.

Families who attended “Hope and a Future” enjoyed a variety of exciting activities, including games, interactions with animals, the trampoline park, and more. Children were delighted with a visit from Santa, Mrs. Claus, and even Santa’s reindeer! Each foster child received thoughtful, personalized gifts and cozy pajamas, while families were gifted care baskets filled with treats, diapers, wipes, and other essential items. Delicious food and festive fun added to the experiences, fostering a sense of community and connection.

This event was more than just a celebration; it was a chance to provide foster families in Kansas with valuable resources and support. The generosity shown by local businesses, churches, nonprofits, and individuals has been extraordinary, and we are so grateful for their kindness and willingness to help families in need.

Foster care in Kansas can often come with unique challenges, but what “Hope and a Future” demonstrated was the power of community to create moments of joy and positivity. By coming together, we can help ensure that every child and family in foster care feels seen, valued, and supported.

To all those who contributed to making “Hope and a Future” a success, thank you for being a part of this incredible mission. Your compassion and generosity bring light to the lives of so many children and families. At EmberHope, we are committed to continuing this work and creating brighter tomorrows for foster families across Kansas.
