A highlight for EmberHope was witnessing two great organizations show their generosity and compassion during the 2024 Festival of Giving.
The esteemed Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland and the Goddard Senior Center joined forces to shine a light on what it truly means to support our youth. The Girl Scouts made a remarkable contribution by donating a large selection of items, including basketballs, footballs, video games, board games, blankets, and clothing—each item carefully chosen to bring joy and comfort to the children at our Goddard campus.
Meanwhile, the dedicated members of the Goddard Senior Center demonstrated their kindness by creating thoughtful hygiene kits for our emergency placement youth. These kits were packed with essentials such as hair care products, deodorant, washcloths, toothpaste, and toothbrushes, each topped with a kind, encouraging note. It was a beautiful display of how intergenerational efforts can inspire and make a tangible difference.
This inspiring event is a testament to the power of community and the impact we can create when we come together in a spirit of unity and service. We are grateful to the Girl Scouts and the Goddard Senior Center for their heartfelt contributions and commitment to uplifting our youth.
