EmberHope is proud to share some exciting news — our organization has once again been awarded a 3-year accreditation from CARF International, the highest level of accreditation possible.
CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) is a worldwide, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services, setting standards that have been recognized for nearly 60 years. Their rigorous process ensures that providers like EmberHope meet benchmarks of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
For EmberHope, this accreditation is more than just a certificate. It is an affirmation that our programs continue to meet and exceed national standards designed to strengthen the value and responsiveness of services for children, youth, and families.
The CARF survey process is intense — reviewing thousands of standards that touch every part of an organization. EmberHope’s surveyors examined 2,072 standards and returned with only seven recommendations for improvement. This remarkable outcome is a direct reflection of our team’s dedication to operational excellence and to ensuring the highest quality of care.
“Achieving accreditation takes a village,” says Jamie Riojas, Chief Administrative Officer at EmberHope. “All staff are to be thanked for this accomplishment as each of us contributes to the quality services provided to kids and families in our various roles.”
But the accreditation is not just about what EmberHope has already achieved. It’s also about what comes next. Using CARF’s ASPIRE to Excellence® Framework—a cycle of assessing, planning, implementing, reviewing, and effecting change—EmberHope will continue strengthening its services with an action-oriented approach that keeps the focus on the needs of those we serve.
For our donors, partners, and community members, this 3-year accreditation provides reassurance. It is a stamp of approval from an external, independent accreditor—a sign that EmberHope’s mission and programs meet internationally recognized standards, and that we are committed to ongoing growth and accountability.
As Riojas reflects, “Hard work and dedication pays off!” This milestone belongs to our entire team, our supporters, and most importantly, the children and families whose lives are touched by EmberHope every day.
At EmberHope, we remain committed to building hope that lasts a lifetime. Learn more about our mission and how you can get involved at www.emberhope.org.
